Interesting Observations
I just return from the PRC Regional Director convention in Denver! What a great experience! Until this point, I had only met the CEO of the company in person. I have to say that honestly had no idea the high caliber of people Stephen O'Hara has put together! Every person on the team brings a new and different element to the organization. I came back empowered, ready to build the Florida region!
As each of the council members, and management people spoke, it was evident that we all shared the same feeling. Somthing has to be done to let the consumer know the right way to choose an agent. It is sobering to think that 93% of the agents that join the board of REALTORS this year, will be gone from the business in less than 2 years! It is also staggering to think that nail tech spends more time learning than a real estate agent, yet these agents are "helping" buyer and sellers move hundreds of thousands of dollars! SCARY! It's no wonder the consumer ranks real estate agents as the lowest help position of prestige. I am truly saddened by that. Considering that all agents come from another profession such as teaching, medical assistants etc, it's hard to believe that the consumer thinks so low of agents. PRC is outto change that for the agents that deserve the recognition of being a true professional.
Another exciting addition to the PRC team is relocation vetran NRI Relocation! I met with Susan Bender the CEO while in Denver and she expressed her enthusiasm about joining forces with our organization, because they, like other corporate and consumer based organizations, really have no way to tell the difference between good and bad agents and they need certified agents for their clients. As usan sat and listened to our meeting, her face just glowed with relief! NRI will be using PRC agents to help their clients relocate, knowing that those agents have been certified and have the skills to get the job done right.
I need to get back to work, but I just wanted to say a big thank you to PRC for giving consumers a choice and I look forward to building the network, starting right here in Orlando!
